What is the size of Lazy-TAC?

The Lazy-TAC section is 31 × 35 mm, with 10 mm diameter hoisting channels.
The passage channels under which the boom running rigging passes are 18 mm high.

You choose the length of the profile and the number of passage channels according to the characteristics of the boom. Read the following FAQs to understand which dimensions to measure.

How to size Lazy-TAC?

Read the instructions and locate the assembly area before sizing Lazy-TAC.

Finally, fill in the sizing form reporting the following measurements:

a. distance from the aft end of the boom to the retaining belt of the mainsail clew with completely tensioned mainsail foot;
b. distance from the aft end of the boom to the first reefing line;
c. distance from the aft end of the boom to the second reefing line;
d. distance from the aft end of the boom to the third reefing line;
e. distance from the aft end of the boom to the beginning of Lazy-TAC profile;
f. total size of Lazy-TAC profiles;
g. boom length.

Once you have filled out the form and sent us the necessary information, we will size your Lazy-TAC.

How does the order confirmation work?

Once your Lazy-TAC has been sized, you will receive the technical drawing indicating the total length of the boom, the total dimensions of Lazy-TAC and the width of the passage channels necessary for the running rigging.

If there are no changes to be made to the project, the technical drawing will be valid as an order confirmation and we will be able to proceed with the processing of the order, production and shipment of the profile.

For convenience, Lazy-TAC is supplied in modular pieces with a maximum length of 2 meters each or, if requested when ordering, it is supplied in a single piece up to a maximum of 7 meters in length.

How to assembly Lazy-TAC?

In order to assembly Lazy-TAC, consult the assembly guide and rely on the measures shown in the technical drawing, namely:


0. starting point of the boom;
A. position of the first hole with respect to 0;
B. position of the penultimate hole with respect to 0;
C. position of the last hole with respect to 0;
X. position of the various holes with respect to 0;
d. intersection between two Lazy-TAC profiles; an internal fixing screw must be provided in this point;
f. width of the passage channels f1, f2, f3 and f4 for running rigging..
